November 23, 2019

Here’s a look ahead at what’s to come:

- November 24: Thanksgiving Luncheon

- December 8: Members’ Meeting

- December 22: Christmas Service

- December 24: Christmas Eve Service

Pastor Joyce

Please continue to pray for Pastor Joyce, the NVC Children’s Pastor for New Song and Wisdom Chapels, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy to treat Stage IV appendix cancer.  If you feel led to support her financially, you can Venmo her daughter, Lauren (@Lauren-Jeong-3).  Please use this fee-free method over other methods that collect fees such as her gofundme page, which you can read for updates, or her meal delivery page.

November 24 - Thanksgiving Luncheon

Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon!  It will be a great time for food, fellowship, and an opportunity to come together as a church to celebrate our many blessings.

December 8 - Members’ Meeting

Our biannual Members’ Meeting will be held on December 8 at 12:45pm, right after second service.  There will be a vote on new PMDs and the 2020 budget. Additionally, we will provide important updates about the building search and year-end highlights.  Members, please make a point to attend this meeting for the vote. Non-members are also welcome to the meeting to hear church updates.

December 24 - Christmas Eve Service

Join us on Christmas Eve for our candlelight service starting at 5:30pm.  We will have a message, dinner, games, fellowship, and a crafts table for the kids!  Share in the joy of Christmas with your Pathway brother and sisters, and be sure to invite your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers!

Elementary Sunday School Schedule Change

There will be limited Sunday School schedule until the end of the year for both New Song and Wisdom Chapels (grades 1-5).  Please mark these dates.

There will be NO Sunday School on the following dates:

  • November 24 - Thanksgiving Sunday

  • December 1

  • December 22

  • December 29

On these dates, please pick up your children directly from New Song or Wisdom Chapels.  Leaders kindly ask that you wait patiently outside of the chapel and do not disturb the children’s worship.  Please do not block the doorways and stand to the side.

Pathway Career Ministry

Pathway will be kicking off a Career Ministry!  Services will include but will not limited to: career navigation, networking, resume/CV reviews, LinkedIn tutorials, interview prep, offer negotiations, and more.  In order to ensure the success and sustainability of this ministry, we will need support from people at Pathway! If you would like to offer your expertise or learn more about how you can be involved in this ministry, we will be having an informational meeting (TBD) to discuss various ways to get involved. Please email for more information.

Men’s Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Group

Join thousands of others in the pursuit of knowing God.  We are starting a Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) satellite group right here at Pathway.  The group will meet on Thursdays at 7pm.

BSF uses a FOUR-FOLD APPROACH to studying the Bible: Question, Discuss, Listen and Learn.

This year's study is Acts and Letters of the Apostles.  Acts and Letters of the Apostles captures the joys and sorrows in the lives of first-generation Christians for 30 years after Jesus ascended to heaven. It describes the Holy Spirit’s empowering of their intrepid mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the world.

This is a weekly class, and barring breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas, the classes will run through to the first week in May, 2020. For more information, please email or call: / (408)
